Courses

What exists in the authoring pipeline today — and its honest status. A course only reaches a learner after it clears the release gate; planned coverage is labelled, never presented as live.

No course is released yet. Every course below is still in the review pipeline — nothing on this page is learner-facing today. The release gate and its evidence are described on the evidence page. Kidoko is supplemental learning — none of these paths is, or claims to be, a full national curriculum.

Practical Problem Solving (pilot draft)

in review In review — not released to learners

Course question: how do you take a real problem, break it down, try something, and know whether it worked? Draft course for the 8-mission pilot — in review, not released.

Investigate and Explain (pilot draft)

in review In review — not released to learners

Course question: how do you find out whether something is true, and how do you explain it so someone else understands? Draft course for the 8-mission pilot — in review, not released.

Pilot wave instruments (staff course — not learner-facing)

in review In review — not released to learners

Assessment-instrument anchors for the pilot waves: baseline and endline equivalent forms compiled from the held-out banks (KL-03-06). Staff-facing structure — learners never see these rows in a mission tree.

Early Roots — letters, sounds and counting (younger-foundation draft)

in review In review — not released to learners

Foundational literacy and numeracy for ages 6-9 (Uganda P1-P3 band). Picture-first blocks, larger-type presentation, oral-prompt support, short sessions. Draft course — in review, not released.

Applied Reasoning — money decisions and weighing claims (adolescent draft)

in review In review — not released to learners

Applied numeracy and civic reasoning for ages 15-18 (Uganda S1-S4 band). Extended-text presentation, mature treatment — real prices, real notices, real arguments. Draft course — in review, not released.

Make, Test, Improve — making and community challenges (core-band draft)

in review In review — not released to learners

Five group projects for ages 10-14 across design, measurement, investigation and community problem solving. Every project carries safe materials with low-cost substitutes, a materials-missing demonstration path, a documented role rotation, an iteration checkpoint and an individually scored explanation — a polished group product cannot substitute for each learner's own account. Draft course — in review, not released.

Check It Yourself — AI answers under the habit (core-band draft)

in review In review — not released to learners

Four missions for ages 10-14: check a canned answer's citation, compare a doctored poster against its bundled original, sort what a helper may know, and spot who a canned answer forgot — ending in the iterate-then-verify loop. Every example is simulated; every check runs against bundled sources. Draft course — in review, not released.

Verify Then Trust — claims, images and disclosure (adolescent-band draft)

in review In review — not released to learners

Three missions for ages 15-18: precise citation verdicts (holds/twisted/invented), erasure edits and who they harm, and the share-vs-reveal boundary ending in an honest disclosure line. Every example is simulated; every check runs against bundled sources. Draft course — in review, not released.

Check It With Me — first verification habits (younger-band draft)

in review In review — not released to learners

Two missions for ages 6-9: hear it, check the bundled card, say what you found — and the honest line about when the helper helped. Concrete, read-aloud friendly, fully offline. Draft course — in review, not released.

evidence A lesson cannot reach learners until it clears independent educator and accessibility review; published versions are immutable and attempts stay pinned to the version attempted.

Planned coverage — proposed, not live

The blueprint scopes wider course areas — investigation and science, reasoning and problem solving, reading and communication, creation labs and opportunity preparation. These are proposed directions in the product plan, not courses on offer: each becomes real only when authored, reviewed and released through the same gate.

This catalog is generated by scripts/build-course-catalog.mts from the authoring manifests and content/age-bands/readiness.json — the test suite asserts the committed bytes match the builder output, so an entry's service status can only change when a band's four readiness reviews are signed off.
