For parents and caregivers
What your child does on a Kidoko device, what you can see, and the choices that stay with you and the school.
What a learner does
- Works through structured missions — practical problems and investigation exercises built for roughly ages 10–14 — on a shared school tablet.
- Practices offline: lessons download once and work without internet. Progress queues on the device and syncs when a connection appears.
- Gets hints that teach instead of answer-reveals, and low-stakes practice — no public rankings, no streak pressure.
- May capture a photo or short audio as project evidence — only if the school enables it.
What you can see
- What your child is working on and the evidence behind each skill label — honest evidence of skill growth, not screen-time numbers.
- Portfolio sharing happens only with an adult-approved, expiring link — never a public profile.
Choices that stay with you
- Participation and sync consent — a learner can be marked local-only: their events never leave the device.
- Media capture — camera and microphone are used only for chosen project evidence, and only after the school turns it on for that learner.
- Export, correction, deletion — a linked guardian can ask for a copy of a learner's data, a correction, or deletion. How that works is on the privacy page.
evidence No advertising to children, no sale of learner data, no public child profiles, no location tracking, no private adult-to-child messaging — these are product constraints, not just policy text.
evidence A learner marked local-only never syncs: their learning events stay on the device and are never sent to Kidoko servers.
